National Republicans to Spend Millions to Protect the Brownback Legacy
RGA Reserves Millions in Ads in KS, Spent $5 Million to Support Brownback in 2014
April 9, 2018
Topeka, KS – Today, the Republican Governors Association announced plans to spend millions on ads to protect the Brownback agenda in Kansas. The RGA spent $5 million in 2014 to help keep Gov. Brownback in office and now they’re spending millions more to support candidates who will make sure his disastrous policies stay in place. All the likely Republican nominees supported Brownback’s failed tax experiment and want to continue his disastrous agenda.
“National Republicans are spending millions to install a Brownback clone in the governor’s mansion this November,” said KDP Executive Director Ethan Corson. “Both Jeff Colyer and Kris Kobach will continue Brownback’s failed agenda, and the RGA is ready to spend millions to prop up their campaigns to do so. Kansans desperately want to move on from the Brownback years, but the RGA and their Republican candidates are trying to keep these terrible policies in place.”
