Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, released a video statement ahead of his appearance as keynote speaker at Washington Days 2018.
”I’m looking forward to sharing a vision about where our party could go for the future, how we can orient our politics around everyday life, talk about the issues that matter most to people, and make sure everyone understands not just what we’re against, but also what we’re for,” Buttigieg said. “I’m also looking forward to learning what’s going on on the ground and so many of the races that are going on in Kansas, and getting to know you better.”
This year’s event will feature the first-ever Washington Days gubernatorial candidate forum, held over the luncheon, with all of our gubernatorial candidates participating. Plus, we’ll be holding six different free training sessions, appropriate for candidates, campaign staff, and party leaders and activists.
