The KDP Welcomes Rehan Reza as Secretary
We are excited to announce that Rehan Reza has been approved by the Kansas Democratic Party’s Executive Committee to fill the previously vacant Secretary position. This decision will be put to the State Committee for ratification at the State Committee meeting to be held on March 3, 2018 as part of Washington Days.
“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to work with Rehan,” said John Gibson, Chairman. “Rehan has served our Party with distinction for decades and I know he’ll excel in this new role.”
Rehan’s involvement in the Party includes founding and chairing the Asian American Pacific Islander Caucus, serving as vice-chair of the 2nd Congressional District, and chairing the Shawnee County Democratic Party. A successful businessman who owns and operates more than 25 Church’s Chicken locations in Kansas and Texas, Rehan has received numerous awards for his community service, including the 2009 “Business and Humanitarian Leader in the Community” award from the Crescent Peace Society.
Rehan emigrated to the U.S. from Bangladesh in 1985 to continue his education, earning an MBA from California State University.
